The End Time ‘Sign of the Prophet Jonas’! Major Prophecy Fulfilled
In the Book of Matthew, Jesus warns the Pharisees concerning “the signs of the times” and tells us there will be no sign given, but “the sign of the prophet Jonas.” Here is the scripture:

“The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.”

JONAS IS JONAH
Let’s begin by clarifying — yes, Jonas is the prophet Jonah (Jonas is the Greek spelling of the Hebrew name Jonah).
We all have heard the prophecy of Jonas (that is, Jonah) who was engulfed in the belly of the “great fish” or giant marine sea creature (believed to be a whale) after being cast off a ship in the violent stormy waters and supernaturally recovered out of the belly of the fish after three days and three nights at the power of The Lord God’s command.
Jonas spent three days in the belly of the great fish and Jesus spent three days in the belly of the earth before resurrecting — this was ‘the sign of the prophet Jonas’ for that generation.
The end time ‘sign of the prophet Jonas’ has now been fulfilled in prophecy for this generation. This is it.

19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
HOW DID THE DEATH OF SIMON, SON OF JONAS, GLORIFY GOD?
The death whereby Simon, son of Jonas, would glorify God was having his arms stretched forth to be crucified on a cross upside down to the orientation of Christ. Jesus ended by saying “Follow me.” (As in, turn 180-degrees right side up, repent).
Please note: Simon, son of Jonas is additionally introduced more simply as Simon Barjona.
In Matthew 16, Simon Barjona was the only one of his disciples that correctly identified Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God, and was given the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
A key is used simply by turning it upside down inside the keyhole — unlocking the door. By understanding this key, we can see the truth that has been hidden upside down from us by turning it right side up!
Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life and when you can perceive the truth, you know the truth; the Father has revealed his identity unto you!
THE KEY OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
Let’s read about the key of the kingdom of heaven given to Simon Barjona.
